Diagnose-Protokoll

Summary
The app does not collect any personal data for the developer. There is no user account, no advertising, no tracking, no analytics and no developer servers. All data stays on your devices, in Apple Health and – if you turn on sync – in your own iCloud account.
Data stored on your devices
Your workout presets (names, times, settings) are stored locally in the app on iPhone, iPad and Mac. They are transferred directly between your iPhone and your paired Apple Watch via Apple’s WatchConnectivity. The developer has no access to them.
iCloud sync (optional)
Only if you turn on “Sync via iCloud” on a device (off by default), the app stores your workout presets and the settings “Confirm ending” and “Animate figure” in the iCloud key-value storage of your own iCloud account to sync them between your iPhone, iPad and Mac. The legal basis is the feature you turned on (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Apple processes this data according to Apple’s Privacy Policy; the developer has no access to it. No health data is transferred. Turning sync off stops syncing; data already stored in iCloud stays there until you remove it in the app with “Delete iCloud Data”. The presets on your devices are kept.
Diagnostic log
The app keeps a technical diagnostic log (including preset names and connection and sync events, at most 300 entries) that is stored only on your device. It leaves the device only if you share it yourself, for example by email to me for a support request (see “Contact by email”). On Apple Watch you send it to your iPhone yourself if needed.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
Only with your permission, the app uses Apple Health:
- Read: heart rate and active energy during a running workout to display your heart rate.
- Write: completed workouts (workout type, duration, values measured by Apple Watch) – can be turned off in the Watch app.
The app does not transfer health data off your devices, does not share it with the developer or third parties and does not use it for advertising. Syncing Apple Health via iCloud follows your Apple settings. The legal basis is your consent via the Health permission (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can revoke permissions at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
Data processed by Apple
When you download from the App Store, use TestFlight and – if you enabled “Share with App Developers” in iOS or macOS – for crash reports, Apple processes data according to Apple’s Privacy Policy. The developer only receives aggregated or anonymised information from Apple.
This website
These pages are hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA). GitHub processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, see the GitHub Privacy Statement. The developer uses no cookies and no analytics.
Contact form
The contact form in the legal notice is sent via Formspree (Formspree, Inc., USA). Your email address, your message and technically necessary data (e.g. IP address) are transmitted to Formspree, stored there and forwarded to me, solely to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Processing also takes place in the USA; see the Formspree Privacy Policy. If you prefer, simply email me instead.
Contact by email
If you write to me, I process your email address and message only to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed.
Contact by post
Letters sent to the postal address in the legal notice are received on my behalf by COCENTER GmbH, Koppoldstr. 1, 86551 Aichach, Germany, which digitises them and makes them available to me in a customer account. The details on the envelope and the content of the letter are processed (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; legitimate interest: being reachable at a postal address for service without publishing my home address).
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes
If the app changes in a way that processes other data, this policy will be updated.
